Formed in 2006, Idle Hands are an electro-acoustic duo comprising of Clive (Vocals/Guitar/Drums) and Ross (Vocals/Guitar).
By continually reviewing and building our song list we now have over 60 songs to choose from when creating our set lists, from artists such as Aztec Camera, Thin Lizzy, Elbow, Stereophonics, Johnny Cash, Guns n' Roses, The Stranglers, The Waterboys, Rolling Stones, REM, Snow Patrol, Mumford & Sons, etc, to name just a few.
By covering such a wide range of artists we aim to ensure that there will be something for almost everyone somewhere in our live performance!
Focussing on rock, country and folk songs from the 1960s to the present day, we provide a colourful mix of popular, interesting, forgotten and sometimes suprising songs!
We are 100% live, refusing to use backing tracks - Clive plays a custom-made electronic drum kit with his feet, creating an authentic sound.
Our presence is pitched somewhere between an acoustic duo and a full band - not so loud that people can't hear themselves speak, but loud enough to get the party moving when we need to!
We've played hundreds of gigs, from St. Ives, Cornwall, to Cirencester and many more inbetween.
We're often found playing in pubs around the South-West, but are are also available for charity functions, private parties and weddings.
Our first mini-album 'Cold Street' was released in 2009.
Our first full length album 'Paper Moon' was released in June 2011.
